  • The Merit Scholarship Exam consists of sections on math concepts, math computation, vocabulary and reading comprehension, and will include a writing sample. After the Exam, finalists will be chosen and an interview and a review of current school records is part of the Merit Scholarship Application process. Finalists will be contacted and invited for an interview and a copy of all relevant school records must be brought to the interview. Please feel free also to bring any certificates, commendations, etc. that will support your child's application to Garden School. Students are informed of the test results in writing by Friday, February 8, 2019. Winning students need to maintain a B average, be good citizens of the school, and participate in the school’s community service program to ensure that the scholarship continues over the years. Please note that if you are not eligible or awarded a scholarship, you may still apply to Garden School. If you decide to do so, this registration form will act as your Enrollment Application Form and you will NOT be required to pay an additional Application Fee and likely will not have to take an additional academic assessment. You may also choose to apply for Financial Aid at any time in this process and, if you believe you may qualify, we encourage you to so so as soon as possible. Applying for financial aid is an annual process. Should you be awarded a scholarship, you are typically no longer eligible for financial aid. Additional questions concerning financial aid can be directed to the Business Office.
