Recently, Garden School was lucky enough to be invited to attend BODIES…The Exhibition as guests of the program and so on February 24 the 12 students in Anatomy and AP Biology traveled to the South Street Seaport for a co-curricular activity designed to complement and support their class work.

The students, along with Mr. Hale and Ms. Sohmer, spent more than two hours exploring the exhibition’s nine galleries which contain actual human bodies and organs, which have been preserved through a polymer process.

Mr. Hale had prepared questions and activities for the students to use in exploring the galleries and they did their research while using the audio tours that were provided by the exhibit. Now back at school, the students are putting their new knowledge to work in the classroom.
