On Thursday, February 25th, Garden School hosted the Boys Middle School Division Post-Season Championship Basketball game of the Big Apple Conference of the Independent Schools Athletic League. It was a well fought battle between the Griffins and the Knights of LREI. This was a rematch of regular season 1st place Garden and 2nd place LREI. Leads changed hands several times throughout the first half, with Garden taking a two point advantage, 19-17, into the locker room at halftime. With approximately 5 minutes remaining in the game, the home squad opened up a 7 point lead before the opposition rallied to tie at 38. During the final minute, Garden pulled away with a steal and fast break layup and connected on one of two free throws for the ending margin of victory, 43-40. Congratulations to the middle school team and their coach for their outstanding undefeated conference record of 7-0 and overall mark of 16 wins and 2 losses
