Social involvement is a program goal that is firmly embedded into the Garden School mission and culture, and right beside “academic achievement” and “personal development”. We could not be more proud of Jasmine P. and Mirabella C. for their dedicated fundraising work on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Here is Jasmine with Headmaster, Dr. Richard Marotta, presenting a check for $2,400 to Madeleine Hamingson, of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student Series Campaign Office at Monday’s Morning Meeting. Way to go Jasmine and Mirabella!

New York State Senator Jose Peralta visited Garden School on Thursday, February 2nd to explain the process of government and to offer some insights to our fourth, fifth and sixth grade students about his work and career. Students asked him a number of questions both general and pertinent to the current political situation and climate. We are grateful to him for taking the time and also to Mrs. Maria Delgado for organizing this visit with the Senator.
